PHILEO

PHILEO is the Greek word for brotherly love and is an acronym for :
Pursuing Him In Life & Each Other.

When and Where??

PHILEO meets regularly from 7:00pm-11:00pm Friday nights @
Westminster Bible Church 310 Gorsuch Road Westminster MD 21157

Mission Statement:

It is our mission to reach teens with the Gospel of Christ and to empower and encourage them to develop an internalized faith that is the controlling reality in their lives.

Key PHILEO Passage:

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”  Mark 12:28-31 (NIV)

Vision:

Does The Bible have any relevance to me?
What does the Bible really say?
Is there any real power in God's Word?
What does faith look like in real life?

PHILEO is a safe place for teens to explore the  answers to these questions.  We combine Biblical teaching with Community, Worship, Service, Outreach and  an opportunity to discuss the principles found in Scripture  as well as  how they apply to our lives.
Come join us for the journey!!
